Fans love to engage with their favorite players, and some sport clubs like the Giants encourage their players to do so through Twitter. The benefit is that fans feel more related and more updated, which makes them able to tell a story to friends and other fans - making the game viral.
Sadly some sport organizations are going against the opportunity of user engagement, and instead trying to...

So said Kevin Kelly, Senior Maverick from Wired in June 2011, and we certainly agree! But what is it about the stream, why do we follow it daily on our devices and where will it take us in the future?
We are constantly exposed to tremendous amounts of data across our social networks, when friends and followers distribute pictures, videos, links and messages. The only way we can qualify the...

Twestival statistics for Copenhagen versus Aalborg
Here’s our statistics for Copenhagen Twestival 2011 and Aalborg Twestival 2011. It’s no wonder that Cph has better stats due to the amount of tweeps there.
I did my part in getting more checkins in Aalborg as I six days ago did a short presentation about LBS at University College Nordjylland.
Copenhagen had 100 checkins and 618 tweets where Aalborg had 7 checkins and 286 tweets.

Let your location do the talking!
Checking in from your location has become far more known after Facebook Places has been launched. There are a broad variety of LBS (Location Based Services) providing information based on your current location. Some finds it brilliant, now information can be filtered based on my location - neat! Others find it creepy - does that mean that “friends” like my employer, wife and other...

Gignal Journal #2
We had set up an #egypt stream, aggregating tweets and photos. We deliberately excluded check-ins, so we wouldn’t expose anyone at the scene. It went very well for a day, but then the database crashed - we fixed it- and then it crashed again.
So to look at the bright side, It turned out to be a good test case, due to the large amounts of data. We already planned to implement MongoDB,...
